GENIUS PRINTING EXHIBITION
Genius Printing presents the inaugural Image Essentials 2010 exhibition. This exhibition is our way of saying a big thank-you to the talented group of digital artists and photographers that have worked with Genius Printing.
Here's your chance to take advantage of a fantastic opportunity! We are accepting entries from Genius Printing clients who are photographers and digital artists to be selected for the 2 week exhibition. You can enter as many images as you like.

OUR TEMPERATURE DISCOUNT SALE IS ON AGAIN!
We are already the lowest priced canvas printer in Australia but until the end of Thu 7th Jan 2010, half of yesterdays Melbourne top temperature = your discount percent!
For example, if the top Melbourne temperature yesterday was 35.6 degrees (rounded DOWN to 35 degrees), you'll get 18% (rounded UP from 17.5%) off your order.
The online ordering system will automatically calculate the discount for you. The temperature is the official top temperature for the Melbourne CBD as reported by the Bureau of Meteorology's historical reporting system:

NEW STRETCHER BARS - HARD WOOD
We have swapped over from kiln-dried, New Zealand, plantation pine to kiln-dried, Eco-select, hardwood, that does not leach tannins (tannic acid).
This presents the following benefits to our customers:
- Hardwood is even less likely to take on moisture and warp over time
- It's heavier giving the canvas product a solid feel
- We now include 'keys' which allow you to re-tension the canvas if need be

WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING CHRISTMAS ORDERS!
Genius Printing has extended our Christmas order cut-offs right up until Midday, Saturday 20th December 2008!
How do we do it? Every order received from now until Saturday will be printed, stretched and boxed over the weekend ready to ship on Monday afternoon, overnight to anywhere in Australia. We are open for business all day and night this weekend!
Here are the things you need to know:
PLACING AN ORDER:
- 5% of all SALES (not 5% of just the profit we make, but 5% of the sale) will be donated to the Make A Wish Foundation
- We are open from Saturday 10am to Monday 6pm for as many hours required to complete all orders (day and night). Leave a message if we don't answer the phone and we'll get back to you
- Your order must have an uploaded file, an approved online proof, and payment made by 12pm Saturday 20th Dec. No exceptions
- The following options are not available: DNA Art, photo scanning, image manipulation, montages, PhotoPaint
- The Christmas wrapping option and Christmas card option will not be available
- Payment must be made by credit card or INSTANT Paypal payment (from your paypal balance or credit card)
- If you are unsure about image quality / cropping / wrapping, call us. You will not be able to reject the online proof
- You must pay for URGENT turnaround. This adds 50% to the canvas price and compensates for the expense of offering this last-minute service. We've put on LOTS of extra staff for this
- The guarantee is offered ONLY to confirmed orders. We reserve the right to reject orders for any reason, eg; extreme remote locations, payment issues, etc
DELIVERY:
- All orders will ship on Mon 22nd Dec and arrive on or before Wed 24th Dec
- Delivery via Australia Post will not be available
- Delivery via Standard Courier will not be available
- If you are in the Melbourne metro area, you must select a Local Courier or Pick Up.
- Customers NOT in the Melbourne metro area such as regional VIC or interstate will need to select the Business Courier option only if the business courier can deliver in 1 day to a BUSINESS (not residential) address
- Alternatively you must pay for the Overnight courier

NEW PRODUCT: ACRYLIC ICE™
Now you can mount your images in modern acrylic frames in minutes with Acrylic Ice™.
This cost effective, modern and stylish mounting system is different to stretched canvas in that it sandwiches a printed canvas between two sheets of acrylic. This is separated from the wall by 25mm metal standoffs in either black, metallic or stainless steel.

FINE ART CANVAS RELEASED
We've always offered an archival poly / cotton and archival 100% cotton canvas.
Now we have a third option - a Fine Art 100% cotton canvas. This canvas is OBA (optical brightnner free) for the ultimate in archival quality. It's a slightly duller canvas but very well suited to the reproduction of Fine Art or when the greatest archival quality or the most natural look is required.

MARIJKE GROOTHUIS EXHIBITION
Marijke Groothuis asked Genius Printing to print her collection for the 'Looking Deeper' exhibition held at the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery.
Genius Printing worked with Marijke on working out the sizes required, wrapping types and canvas choice for her work. Because of the striking colours she opted for a Poly / Cotton blend canvas due to it's brighter white point.
After sending her a framed sample using her image, a total of 26 images were sent to us on CD for processing. Each image was carefully colour corrected and set up to Marijke's requirements. Hard proofs were mailed to her to ensure the definition and colour reproduction of the images were as expected.
The consulation process and hard proofs ensured that when all the canvases were delivered, Marijke could confidently give them to the gallery for hanging without opening the boxes to check them.
Genius Printing attented the exhibition and were praised highly for our work in making the exhibition a reality.
Marijke's work is created by digital photography and digital manipulation. The images are compilations and blends of a number of images giving each piece many layers of texture.
This was one of many successful exhibitions Genius Printing has reproduced works for and we look forward to Marijke's next. Congratulations Marijke!

During March, if you place an order of 3 or more canvases in the one order, we'll take 15% not just off the 3rd canvas, but the entire order. DNA CANVASES LAUNCHED
It would have to be the most unique, personal and modern form of art - printing your own DNA onto a canvas! DNA is the fundamental building block of an individuals entire genetic makeup. Using our home testing kit you rub a swab on the inside of your cheek, send it to us, and our laboratory will extract and profile your DNA into an image much like the one above.
